More new soap molds...

So...I got a wee bit carried away in the soap department this Christmas, but the results were worth it. I had this brainstorm of different "flavor" combinations and one of them was based on a Scottish dessert called Cranachan...

The only thing is...I used the wrong berry essence. I used cranberry and cranachan is apparently made with raspberries. Oh well...call it a Christmas variation. They smell  lovely, no matter what berry essence I used. I think the dessert title subconsciously made me think of cranberries.

This soap contained oatmeal, whisky, cranberry and vanilla essence in a goat milk base. I should have also added honey (next time, I'll do it right!)

My Sister has actually laid claim to the remaining three bars but I thought it would be nice to share!

I had cranachan for the first time in Edinburgh at The World's End pub...2008 :) Delicious!

Forgive me, cranachan purists...

P.S. There are still sage and lemon honey soaps available in my Etsy shop!

XO

I think we'll forgive you the cranberry substitution! I love your moulds, and the dusted ivory shade reminds me of Christmas baking...Theresa
