Monday morning I found myself in the village with extra time on my hands and so treated myself to a wonderful early lunch in the garden room at La Lanterna Caffe. I sat next to the fountain and had the space to myself for part of my stay. How do you get back in the creative groove when life gets in the way? XO

... Oh I definitely get creative block! I used to be frustrated by it, perhaps through a fear it'd never return. Now I accept creativity, like all of life, has an ebb and flow, peaks and troughs. Usually when I've been stuck for a while I get a sudden creative urge at some point ...like the dam releasing! I just do other stuff until inspiration strikes. |

... Whenever I get artists block I take myself on an inspiration hunt. Take a camera and just go out. It makes me start looking at everything differently. I am looking for a shot. Anything...cool rocks, flowers, insects, people, etc. It's amazing how much better I feel when I'm done. |

... A walk in the woods, a quiet lunch at the pub with a book...anything that gets me away from the screen and out of the kitchen! (just for awhile) :) Theresa |
